MICROSCOPY LABORATORY of the CERN, Geneva.

Building a clean white room stabilized at 0,1°C of précision.

EXATECHNIC has built and delivered a microscopy laboratory equipped with a successful high thermal stability system destinated to the fundamental research for particle physics at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland. Built with a high level of quality and efficiency, the constant temperature is stabilized at 22°C with a level of precision of 0,1°C, and a fine humidity stabilization at 1% RH.

Designed from vacant spaces, coordinated with the client, EXATECHNIC has chosen the constructional principle, selected the kind of insulation and the air proof solutions. We studied the needs and the used, for different specific Gaz, water and electricity. The all building works were realized in the respect of the nuclear constraints (halogen free materials, specific components, high pressure test, safety rules).

La diffusion d’air est assurée par un diffuseur linéaire à très basse vitesse, entièrement réglable pour le débit et l’orientation du flux d’air.

La stabilité de la température est homogène. Le flux d’air transversal élimine tout risque de stratification.
3 niveaux de filtrations successifs assurent l’efficacité de la filtration HEPA.

An advanced discussion about technical solutions with the CERN has permitted to defined the process design instrumentation to put in place. EXATECHNIC designed all the technically complex systems to be integrated for CERN use.

Quality of the materials were chosen to guaranty the air proof of the room.

La salle est totalement étanche pour permettre de maintenir une surpression > à 20Pa afin d’éviter tout risque d’entrée de particule >0,5µm.
